Elizabethtown Area School District to Host Open House for New Athletic Fieldhouse and Renovated Track and Football Field
Elizabethtown Area School District is excited to invite the community to an open house event celebrating the grand opening of our brand-new Athletic Fieldhouse, as well as the unveiling of our newly renovated track and football field. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the school’s sports complex (rain or shine).
Elizabethtown Area Middle School Feathers for Families Program Raises $3,700 for Local Families
Elizabethtown Area Middle School is thrilled to announce the incredible success of this year's Feathers for Families initiative, raising an impressive $3,700.11 to support local families in need. These funds were used to create 22 Thanksgiving food baskets, each packed with all the essentials for a memorable holiday meal.
Bainbridge Elementary Exceeds Thanksgiving Food Drive Goal, Collecting 779 Items for Local Families
Bainbridge Elementary School held its annual Thanksgiving food drive from November 4 to November 15, to support local families in need during the holiday season. The school community donated non-perishable food items, including essentials like cereal, soup, canned vegetables, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes.
Bear Creek School Hosts Day of Giving to Support Local Community
On Friday, November 22, faculty, staff, and administration from Bear Creek School participated in an inspiring Day of Giving. This special afternoon program was designed to enable the Bear Creek team to give back to the Elizabethtown community beyond the school walls. As part of the Day of Giving, teams of Bear Creek employees spread out across the area to participate in various service projects, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a strong, supportive community.
EASD’s Dr. Jenn Fields Honored at WGAL’s "8 Who Care" Ceremony
Dr. Jenn Fields, a social worker for the Elizabethtown Area School District, has been recognized as one of WGAL’s "8 Who Care Award" recipients for her dedicated service to local students and families in need. Dr. Fields was honored at a ceremony on Wednesday, November 20, for her work with the district’s Bear Bags Food Program.

The last scheduled day for students and staff before Winter Recess will be on Friday, December 20. On this day, students will be dismissed early. Winter Recess will commence following the early dismissal, providing an opportunity for students, staff, and families to enjoy a well-deserved break. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 2, marking the end of the Winter Recess.
