EASD Announces 2024-2025 Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council
The Elizabethtown Area School District is pleased to announce the continuation of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council for the 2024-2025 school year. The Council, which has been a valuable part of the district's efforts to engage students in meaningful dialogue, held its first meeting in early September.
Elizabethtown Area High School Girls’ Volleyball Team Hosts Military Appreciation Night
On Thursday, September 12, Elizabethtown Area High School's girls' volleyball team held a special Military Appreciation Night during their match against the Hempfield Black Knights. The event honored nineteen local veterans, recognizing their service with free admission, a commemorative t-shirt, and homemade cookies.
EAHS Chamber Choir Performs National Anthem at Lancaster Barnstormers Game
Elizabethtown Area High School's Chamber Choir had the honor of performing the National Anthem at the opening of the Lancaster Stormers game held at Clipper Stadium on September 10, 2024. The talented choir, under the direction of high school choral teacher Benjamin Fortier, performed The Star-Spangled Banner.
EASD Launches New Program to Promote Student Voice
EASD is excited to announce a new initiative to promote student voice by including two high school students as non-voting representatives on the district's school board. Senior Emma Griffith and junior Anika Walsh began their terms at the school board’s workshop session held on September 10, 2024.
EAHS Hosts Annual Activities Fair to Promote Student Involvement
EAHS hosted its annual Activities Fair, showcasing the wide range of extracurricular clubs and organizations available to students. With over 35 clubs and organizations participating, the fair provided an engaging platform for students to explore their interests, connect with peers, and get involved in activities beyond the classroom.
Elizabethtown Area High School to Honor 1974 State Field Hockey Team
EAHS proudly announces a special ceremony to honor the 1974 State Field Hockey Team, marking the 50th anniversary of the school’s first-ever state championship. The event will occur on October 11 at 6:30 PM at White Family Dental Stadium.
